Bio

Kenzie is a multidisciplinary performer working at the intersection of music, voice, and experimental live performance. A vocalist with a background in theatrical storytelling, she brings clarity, emotional range, and strong ensemble instincts to both staged and recorded work.

Her early fascination with voice began in theatre and deepened through roles that blended music and recorded performance, including Botanica, an AI character in The Arboretum, a new musical by Chelsea Sherman produced at Indiana University. The role was entirely pre-recorded, requiring her to create a sustained vocal and musical presence that functioned as a central character throughout the live performance.

Kenzie’s musical work spans studio recording, live performance, and collaborative ensemble projects. She is a mezzo vocalist and lead/ensemble singer with The Honeybees, a professional a cappella group based in Portland, Oregon, performing regularly throughout the year. She has also recorded vocals for commercial and music projects, including recent album work as a backing vocalist.

Now based in Portland, Oregon, Kenzie performs and records from her home studio on Sauvie Island while continuing to develop work that explores voice, presence, and communication across formats. Alongside performance, she is expanding her creative practice into writing and short-form storytelling. Outside the studio, she can often be found in the ceramics workshop or along the river with her Australian Cattle Dog, Gilda.
